Your perfect

antidote to stress

About me
Some background for you  to gain insight in whether you feel I could be of service to you through combining language teaching and yoga.

As a Cambridge certified English teacher with work experience in the USA, the UK, the Netherlands and Germany, a MSc Degree in Business Administration and work experience as a Business Analyst, I thoroughly enjoy teaching (Business) English at different universities and companies and Dutch at my local college and at companies. I also do translations in both languages.

I am registered as a yoga trainer at Yoga Alliance Professionals in the UK.

Protecting the countryside, the seaside and all animals are some of my other passions. I do my best to live in balance with nature by following the guidance of the yoga and Ayurveda philosophy, both of which are essentially about being in touch with our natural foundations, to a large extent.

Now and again I encounter skepticism towards the devotional element of yoga. During my yoga training at the Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre in Cork, Ireland a distinction was made between the yoga that worships and the yoga for 'householders' that acknowledges yoga for its ability to contribute to our physical, mental and spiritual health. As I am trained to pass on the basics of yoga and at my core a very appreciative but non-worshipping kind of person, I leave the  devotional aspect to you to decide whether you want to explore that on your personal journey through life.

Namaste,

Chris
